Lucky Seven

I love the idea of sneak preview or an excerpt or anything that gives me a first glance at something…I love a mystery, a moment, just a blink, that makes me ponder and question and imagine…

So of course, I loved this opportunity to give you just that!

I’ve been tagged by Jessica Khoury for this seven thing. Goes like this:

1. Go to the seventh of 77th page of the WIP or latest book
2. Count down seven lines.
3. Copy the 7 sentences that follow and post them.
4. Tag 7 other authors.

So here are my 7 lines from page 77 of The River Witch:

“I’m just making the rest up as I go and that’s all it is at Sunrise Hills. Probably I’ll give them all strokes. People will think I’m a washed up lunatic selling snake oil miracles.”

I saw his teeth flash white in the gloomy evening light. He swatted at a mosquito. “Then you ain’t got nothing to lose with that plan. Best I can tell, people already think that.”

And here are my 7 lucky authors:

1. Melissa Crytzer Fry

2. Erika Marks

3. Eleanor Brown

4. Erika Robuck

5. Hallie Sawyer

6. Robin O’Bryant

7. Sarah McCoy

Ready, set, go! And let me know when your lines are up because I WANT TO READ YOUR POSTS!

admin - I’m so glad you like the post! Lots of writers are previewing some of their works this way and I love getting a peek, just like you. Julia and Melissa have come alongside me and this debut novel like angels and their support and enthusiasm has really been a lifesaver for my spirit and my confidence. I can’t say enough good things about them! Or the other wonderful online friendships with writers (and birders), like you! Thank you so much and I hope you’ll love the book! (There’s an owl in it, of course!) xoxo

Christine.m.Grote - I love this idea. I’m following as many of these 7 posts as I can. I saw that Julia Munroe Martin gave your book high marks on Goodreads, so I was happy to run across your link at Melissa Crytzer Frys.

I put your book on my to-read list.

Girl Parker - “Best I can tell…” Man, with that one line, I could totally hear his voice. That’s fabulous. I did this challenge last week, but I skipped the tagging others. Hope you like it.
