End O’Summer Prayer for Your Local Author

Hi all, from the other side of the book tour! WHEW!

There are still lots of book club appearances and festivals coming in the next months (I’ll be sure to update the website, I swear I will), but I’m home and hiding out like a turtle, getting back to my normally introverted life. The whirlwind of activity surrounding the release of The River Witch has been wonderful, but I’m so ready for fall and to be writing again! And this will happen because I have been praying faithfully. It goes something like this:

GIVE ME COFFEE! GIVE ME COOL!

SEND THESE PEOPLE BACK TO SCHOOL!

But before summer is said and done…I did want to share a few glimpses of the fabulous collaboration with Grits and Soul for those of you who couldn’t make it to one of our events. I can’t thank them enough or tell you what a terrific experience this was for me — and for readers who joined us across the southeast!

Hope you enjoy these short videos from our stops in Jackson, MS at Lemuria Bookstore (thanks to Erin Bass of Deep South Magazine!)…

Erika Marks - Oh, what a whirlwind tour! I’m so grateful to have been a part of it–and wish I could have been in the audience for ALL of it to hear you and Grits and Soul. Here’s to a new season of writing and song, my sweet friend!

Katherine Scott Crawford - Sounds like a fantastic tour! Can’t wait to hear more about it!

Bonnie Waler - I have finished this book, and I commend Kimberly. A beautiful story of healing and finding one’s way after deep loss. I will look forward to reading all you write.
