This was a pilgrimage, returning to Saint Simon’s Island where I first saw the ocean. And to Saint Mary’s, Georgia, a gateway to Cumberland Island and the first inspiration for what would become a fictional town in The Fabled Earth.

These were halcyon days, clear and bright after the storms of the last weeks. Golden with the nostalgia of my own memories and now there are new friends, new stories to carry home with me from this place.

Thank you @gjfordbookshop & @sweetluncheonette for unforgettable gatherings to tell tales in gratitude for community. And @theinnbyseaisland @seaisland for being so welcoming and providing me with some much needed rest. I’m already counting the days until I can come back. ♥️📖🥂✨
