Join the Feast! Good Fiction, Friends and Food! Share your recipes for a Damascus Feast and Win Copies of The River Witch for your Book Club…

So many good things have been happening since the launch of THE RIVER WITCH! The book has garnered 21Five Star Reviews on Amazon! And been mentioned TWICE in Huffington Post, making their Summer’s Sizzling Southern Fiction list!

Currently it is this month’s read for She Reads national online book club AND..became an official selection for the PULPWOOD QUEEN BOOK CLUB this year!!

So… in that spirit, I wanted to give a shout out to all book clubs and invite you to consider reading THE RIVER WITCH with your group! I’d love to hear from you, visit your meetings or Skype with you. Talking to readers is one of my favorite parts of this journey!

I had to share this picture of my visit with the first book club to invite me to a meeting after reading the novel. We ate and talked and stayed way too late, enjoying the company and the lively discussion. I don’t know when I’ve enjoyed myself more!

Damascus Feast!

Karen Waskewich - The most delicious onion dip ever!

Sweet Onion Dip
Ingredients (Makes 2 cups)

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 Vidalia onions (1 pound total), finely chopped
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1 cup sour cream
2 ounces bar cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons white-wine vinegar
1/4 cup finely chopped chives
Potato chips, for serving


1.In a large skillet, heat oil over medium. Add onions; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool to room temperature.

2.In a medium bowl, combine onions, sour cream, cream cheese, vinegar, and chives; season with salt and pepper. Chill dip until slightly thickened, about 1 hour; or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days. Serve with chips.
